When I am in Kotor, I like staying here. The hotel is beautiful small, it has caring staff at the reception desk. It has stunning, magnificent setting, adjacent to the inside or outside restaurant and a large grocery store.

The hotel was clean with a good restaurant. Great-sized fashionable rooms with an amazing view and balcony. - Absolutely perfect location, near a medieval bastion. - Only a 5-minute walk to downtown.

New-fashioned room with a great view over the square and to the mountains beyond and unique decor. Very clean beds, perfect location right in the heart of the old town.

The room was nicely decorated and equipped with a storage, mini-fridge, and TV. The view of the Bay of Kotor from the room was magnificent. The decor was exclusive and the bed was very clean. The hotel is situated in a perfect pedestrian area with a shopping mall and supermarket nearby.

Hotel staff were extremely helpful. I informed them it was my partners birthday and they brought a card and complimentary bottle of champagne to our room. It was a very nice and thoughtful touch. Highly recommended

Location:. Conveniently stay right in the Old Town (14th Century) of Kotor, experiencing the traditions and culture of the permanent residents while having direct access to a wealth of tourist attractions in Kotor itself but also to many places of beauty and historical interest within easy, daily driving distances of the hotel. Accommodation: Exceptionally comfortable, upmarket, spotlessly clean and spacious accommodation offering all the conveniences of modern technologies within the structure of a quaint 14th Century building. Staff and Service: Alert, friendly, caring, resourceful and highly efficient staff throughout from administration and front desk to restaurant and room cleaning services. Food: Comprehensive menu of finely prepared dishes and good wines at competitive prices. Ambience: Perfect for either laid-back and mildly curiosity-driven relaxation, or energetic site tours for the history-hugging and sociologically- conscious academic fraternity. There is also the challenging mountain walk that rewards endurance with fantastic, elevated views of the area. If you crave Las Vegas-style plastic palaces with more beach umbrellas than a field of cabbages on a vegetable farm, rather go to Budva or Bar. Kotor is quaint and cultural setting with the Astoria Hotel as its central gem.
I could have had a slightly higher chair for the desk in our room, but my experience of the hotel management and its staff tells me that, had I asked, one would have been delivered before I put the phone down.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
